WordPress security support for sites you can’t afford to neglect.
Security issues demand a careful response. We help investigate compromised or vulnerable WordPress websites, address identified problems, and improve configurations and practices that reduce avoidable risk.
Conceptual layers. No setup makes a website invulnerable.
Two situations, five kinds of support.
A site that may already be compromised, or has been and needs a controlled way back.
Malware investigation and cleanup
Investigate suspicious changes and affected files, support cleanup, and consider the broader cause rather than only removing visible symptoms.
Recovery and restoration planning
Help assess backups, site integrity, service continuity, and a controlled path back to a working site.
Sites that are working today but have avoidable weak points.
Security reviews and hardening
Review relevant WordPress configuration, users, plugins, update practices, permissions, and other common risk areas.
Updates and vulnerability reduction
Address outdated components, unnecessary access, weak configurations, and other practical security weaknesses.
Safer deployment and access workflows
Encourage backups, staging where appropriate, controlled access, and testing around high-impact changes.
Security is an ongoing practice, not a one-click promise.
Five layers, each doing a different job. Strengthening one does not replace the others.
- 01Prevention
Updates, fewer plugins, tighter permissions, and safer access, so there is less to attack.
- 02Detection and investigation
Noticing that something changed, then working out what, where, and how.
- 03Response
Containing the problem and cleaning it up with the cause in mind, not just the symptoms.
- 04Recovery
A controlled return to a working site, using clean backups and integrity checks.
- 05Upkeep
Regular updates, reviews, and safer habits, so the work does not quietly lapse.
No configuration makes a website invulnerable. The aim is to reduce avoidable risk, notice problems sooner, and recover calmly when something goes wrong.
Start with scope and access, not promises.
A calm first step beats a fast wrong one. We would rather understand the situation properly than guess at a timeline.
- Tell us what you are seeingSymptoms, when they started, and the current hosting setup. A short description is enough.
- Agree how we get accessWe assess what access we need and how to share it securely, before anything is touched.
- Assess before actingWe look at the site and the backups first, so the response fits what is actually wrong.
- Agree scope, then actOnly then do we propose a plan. We do not promise timelines or repairs before we have looked.
- Shared securelyCredentials and access details are shared through a secure channel, never through a public form.
- Treated as confidentialClient information, credentials, and project materials stay confidential.
- NDAs when requiredWe can work under a non-disclosure agreement, and we do not publicly disclose agency relationships without permission.
What this work covers, and what it does not.
Practical WordPress security work, described plainly, so you know what to expect before we start.
WordPress security hardening
Tightening configuration, access, updates, and permissions on sites we are asked to review.
Malware cleanup
Investigating and cleaning compromised WordPress sites, with the cause in mind.
Vulnerability remediation
Fixing identified weaknesses in plugins, themes, custom code, and settings.
Website recovery
Restoring a compromised site to a working, cleaner state.
What we do not present ourselves as
We are not a certified penetration testing firm, a compliance auditor, or an accredited digital forensics provider. If your situation calls for one, we will say so early.
Questions about security work.
Careful answers, without scare tactics or promises we cannot keep.
Can you help if a WordPress website has been hacked?
Yes, we can help investigate and clean it. Before promising anything, we need to understand the symptoms, the hosting, and what access we have. Then we agree a scope and a plan.
Is a security plugin enough to protect a website?
A good plugin can help, but it is one layer. Updates, user and permission hygiene, backups, hosting configuration, and safe deployment habits matter just as much.
Will you review existing WordPress plugins and users?
Yes. A review covers installed plugins and themes, update status, user accounts and roles, file permissions, and common configuration risks.
Should we restore from a backup or clean the current website?
It depends on how clean and recent the backup is and what has changed since. We assess both options and recommend one with the trade-offs. Either way, we look for the cause so it does not recur.
Are you a penetration testing, compliance, or forensics firm?
No. We do practical WordPress security work: hardening, malware cleanup, vulnerability remediation, and website recovery. We are not a certified penetration testing firm, a compliance auditor, or an accredited digital forensics provider, and we will say so if a project needs one.
Do you provide ongoing security monitoring?
That depends on the agreed support scope. Some arrangements include regular checks and updates. We spell out exactly what is and is not included.
Need help assessing or recovering a WordPress site?
Describe the symptoms or security concerns and the current hosting setup. We’ll discuss an appropriate review and next steps.
- What you are seeing, and since when
- Hosting provider and setup
- Recent changes or updates
- Whether a recent backup exists
Access and credentials are shared securely later, never through a public form.
